Message from the directors

Wow! What a week!

Our 8th year of camp was awesome. Once again we ventured into the unknown; the vast universe “Under the Sea”.

The program this year was full of non-stop fun and imagination. Kim, Debbie and the newest program member, Pam, did an amazing job planning this year’s activities. The highlight for most was a day of white-water rafting at Owl Rafting. We all had a blast, and we all slept really well that night; even the kids. We had visits from the Civitan, Lions, Optimists, Rotary and Classic Car clubs. Along with motorcyclists, the OPP, Eric Leblanc the Magician, Maria Hawkins and her band, and Kate the crazy hairstylist we always had someone to entertain us. We really appreciate all of the support that these people provide for us, and it’s great that they are willing to take time out of their busy lives to come out and help us have fun.

The medical team of Judy, Lilly, HNG (Graham) and Dr. Ron kept us healthy and tended to our wounds throughout the week. After all, it wouldn’t be camp if we didn’t go home with a few bruises and scrapes after the week. It just means that we were having so much fun that we forgot to watch out for the stumps!

We had a great group of Companions and Super Companions this year. You guys amaze us more and more each year. We can’t say enough about your energy, caring and compassion that you give to these kids. You should all be really proud of what you have brought to this camp. You gave it your all! Thank you so much for being the amazing individuals that you are!

Jacquie and Wendy got us all here, forms and all, and chipped in all week at every opportunity. Once again, Jeannette, Rene and Caleb were awesome hosts. The food was awesome! We ate six times a day, so Trainer Rick and Chelsea and Sarah, the lifeguards, had to work us hard to keep our rock hard physiques toned up. Thanks to all of you.

If you are reading this now; you have no doubt been blown away by Kristy’s amazing artistry and Sam’s phenomenal photos. These two are such an amazing part of this camp. Thanks for all of your hard work, and your smiles!

And of course, none of this would mean a thing if we didn’t have the coolest group of campers imaginable to do it for. You guys rock! You have given us so many laughs and smiles that our sides ache! Most of adults wait the entire year to come back to camp and get our dose of fun from you guys. It helps us go back to our childhoods and act crazy without our bosses wondering if we have lost our marbles.

We sincerely hope that you had as much fun as we did. We really treasure all of you and can never express in words how much we appreciate having you as part of Camp Quality!

Thank you all,

Pam & Glenn
